In Dagestan, top managers of "EKO-M" suspected of wage arrears of 9.5 million roubles

Employees of the cleaning company "EKO-M" were not paid in full during 1.5 years. The debt amounts to 9.5 million roubles. This was reported by the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF). A criminal case is instituted against top managers of the company "EKO-M".

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that earlier, the Prosecutor's Office of the Soviet District of Makhachkala has accused the company "EKO-M" of concealing the information about the wage arrears and fined it.

On July 19, the employees of the company "EKO-M", engaged in cleaning the streets of Makhachkala, refused to go to work until the full repayment of wage arrears. The city authorities noted that the Mayor's Office had claims against the quality of the company employees' work and recommended to solve the problems with wage arrears directly with the employer. In January, in Makhachkala, garbage was not removed off the streets because of the strike of the workers of the company "EKO-M".

According to the investigators, in the period from January 2015 till June 2016, for more than two months, for mercenary motives or other personal interests, officials of the management company failed to pay wages to the employees in the amount of more than 9.5 million roubles, reports the website of the ICRF's Investigating Department for Dagestan.
