Abkhazian deputies not allowed in parliament
Supporters of presidential candidate Raul Khadzhimba are not allowing deputies in the building of the Abkhazian parliament. "This action is caused by today's intention of the parliament to pass a resolution canceling the presidential decree about a repeated election of the head of the republic and to claim a vote of no-confidence in Vladislav Ardzinba," Vasiliy Avidzba, head of Raul Khadzhimba's election staff, said to the Caucasian Knot correspondent.
Khadzhimba's supporters are also blocking off entrances to offices of the government and the president's staff. Vasiliy Avidzba stated that "until the presidential decree about the repeated election is brought to the notice of the republican population and the Central Election Commission takes actions corresponding with the decree, people won't move away from the building of the parliament, government and presidential administration."
It is worth reminding that the presidential decree has never been made public by the national Abkhazian television by request of Sergey Bagapsh's supporters. The decree was issued on October 29.
