In Dagestan, activities of "Nadezhda" Charity Foundation paralyzed after search

During a search carried out at the "Nadezhda" (Hope) Charity Foundation, law enforcers refused the request not to seize PCs and download the information from them to other data carriers. So, at present, the Charity Foundation can no longer continue its activities. This was reported by its leader Timur Gadjizharaev.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that today, in Makhachkala, law enforcers came to carry out a search to the Nadezhda" Charity Foundation, engaged in providing assistance to the poor. The law enforcers seized documents and PCs from the NGO. According to the search warrant, presented by the law enforcers, the leader of the Foundation has violated tax and administrative laws, as well as the law on NGOs. Moreover, according to the law enforcers, PCs of the NGO were operated on illegal software.

According to Timur Gadjizharaev, the search lasted about three hours. "They said that the study of the information will take five days and after that they will start returning the equipment to me," Timur Gadjizharaev has added.

The "Nadezhda" Charity Foundation was established in 2012. The NGO is engaged in collection of clothes, food and medicine for the poor and then distributes the collected items to the needy.

Timur Gadjizharaev has clarified that his NGO raises money for targeted assistance to the poor through donations in social networks. Meanwhile, his trustees and businessmen also provide assistance to the people who address the "Nadezhda" Charity Foundation.
