In Makhachkala, more than 39,000 people vaccinated against hepatitis A
As of November 10, more than 39,000 residents of Makhachkala, including more than 34,000 children, are vaccinated against hepatitis A. This was reported by the Dagestani Ministry for Public Health. The "Rospotrebnadzor" (Russian Federal Service for Consumer Supervision) issued 44 orders to the local authorities to deal with the mass poisoning of city residents.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that starting from November 4, in Makhachkala, the mass vaccination is underway. On November 10, a source from the Dagestani Ministry for Emergencies (MfE) reported that 249 people still stay at hospitals of Makhachkala with symptoms of acute intestinal infection.
In total, according to the Dagestani Ministry for Public Health, it is planned to vaccinate more than 40,000 Makhachkala.
According to Guzel Magomedova, the chief of the therapeutics department of the polyclinic No. 8 of Makhachkala, in case if a person refuses to be vaccinated, he or she signs a paper to confirm own responsibility for the consequences.
"We vaccinated mainly employees of catering sphere and those engaged in maintenance of water supply systems and wastewater treatment facilities," explained Gulnara Rustamova, the chief of the therapeutics department of the polyclinic No. 9 of Makhachkala.
According to the "Rospotrebnadzor", one of the most important instructions addressed to the administration of Makhachkala obliges the municipality to organize during the autumn holidays the washing and disinfection of in-site water supply systems in educational institutions of the capital.
