Georgian armed units become more active on Abkhazian border
Georgian special operations units have become more active near the Georgian-Abkhazian conflict zone, head of the Abkhazian State Security Service Mikhail Tarba told a press conference in Sukhum today.
He also announced that large-scale military exercises of naval and air forces were starting in Georgia on November 20. "The Sachkhersky motorized infantry battalion, trained by US instructors, has been brought closer to Abkhazia. I got into touch with my South Osetian colleagues. They said there was the same accumulation of forces close to South Osetia," Mr Tarba stated.
