One of policemen wounded in Grozny still stays in grave condition

The man, who opened fire at a police station in Grozny, pretended to be unconscious and took advantage of carelessness of law enforcers. This was reported by a source from the law enforcement bodies. According to him, one of the policemen was seriously wounded.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that earlier, sources of the portal "Kavkaz.Realii" reported that on January 25, in Grozny, four policemen were hospitalized after a detainee opened fire on them during interrogation at the Leninsky ROVD (District Interior Division). The attacker was killed.

According to a source from the law enforcement bodies, at night of January 25, a Chechen resident suspected of involvement in the armed underground militants was taken to the Leninsky ROVD. During the interrogation, he took possession of a service weapon of a policeman, opened fire, and wounded four policemen. As a result of the shootout, the man was killed.

The source from the law enforcement bodies did not rule out that the policemen used force against the detainee.

"During the interrogation, he pretended to be unconscious. Then he grabbed a service pistol of a policeman which appeared to be close to him and opened fire," explained the source.

According to him, doctors assess the health state of one of the wounded policemen as severe.

The leader of one of the Chechen NGOs has reported that he has also got information about a shootout at a police station.
