Dagestani resident stabs teenager under instructions received from social network game

A resident of Makhachkala has been brought to hospital with a knife wound to his chest area, got from another teenager of his age. According to the preliminary information, the victim was stabbed during the game "Blue Whale", reports a source from the law enforcement bodies of Dagestan.

Doctors assess the condition of the injured teenager, born in 2001, as serious but stable, report the law enforcement authorities.

According to a source from the law enforcement bodies of Dagestan, the incident occurred in Akushin Avenue at about 6:00 p.m. of February 11. Policemen detained and brought a minor attacker to the ROVD (District Interior Division) for the Soviet District of Makhachkala.

According to the preliminary information, the teenager stabbed his friend when he got an instruction from the virtual game "Blue Whale", reports the "Komsomolskaya Pravda in Northern Caucasus" with reference to the law enforcement bodies.

Earlier, the "Caucasian Knot" has reported that residents of Chechnya are concerned about virtual games, including the game "Blue Whale". Some people use games disseminated through social networks and mobile messengers to force children to fulfil various tasks aimed at suppression of children's will, self-infliction of wounds and suicides, stated an official from the Prosecutor's Office.
