Arbitrary detentions continue
Officers of law enforcement / security agencies abducted a Samashki resident, Huseyn Suleymanov, in Davydenko, Achkhoy-Martan district, on 26 March. The young man is reported to have been at a close relative's, using a medicine dropper. Local residents say the military men who were conducting a clean-up operation in the village burst into the house and dragged Suleymanov out beating him severely. They threw him into one of their cars and took away without indicating the destination. The young man's relatives think he was delivered to the Achkhoy-Martan district Federal Security Service Department. This is what the Council of Non-Governmental Organisations says.
On one of the roads in Chechnya's Nadterechnaya district security agencies detained a car driver and passenger going in the direction of Grozny, according to local residents. After an examination of the car and a document check the two were brought away without the destination indicated.
