Native of Dagestan and her seven children detained in Egypt

The Egyptian police have detained Asiyat Abdulkarimova and her seven children after their flight from Kiev, where the native of Dagestan was rejected asylum.

According to the woman’s relatives, after arriving at the "Borispol" Airport, Asiyat asked Ukrainian border guards to let her apply for asylum to the migration service. However, the border service would not let Abdulkarimova to the territory of Ukraine.

Asiyat Abdulkarimova and her children "were forced into the plane to Istanbul." From Turkey, the family flew to Cairo, said one of Asiyat’s relative, adding that Abdulkarimova expects her extradition to Russia, the "Kavkaz.Realii" reports.

Since August 2016, Abdulkarimova's husband, Shakhban Isakov, is in Ukraine under the procedure for obtaining asylum. He is a native of the Dagestani village of Komsomolskoye and was wanted by Russia through the Interpol on suspicion of involvement in an illegal armed formation (IAF) in Syria, the Ukrainian edition “Segodnya” (Today) reports.
