Hooliganism threatens lives
Kazbek Magomadov, a serviceman of the Russian Defence Ministry's Vostok ("East") battalion, wounded a local resident in Grozny's Leninskii district at about 11.00 pm on 7 June, Chechnya's law enforcement agencies told Interfax today.
"Being drunk, the serviceman for hooligan motives opened random fire with his Makarov handgun. As a result, a local resident passing by was wounded in his leg with a stone fragment," one of the sources said.
Police officers detained the offender. They seized his handgun and a Kalashnikov submachine gun with an under-barrel grenade launcher, cartridges and four grenades.
