Kadyrov's units 'shall be disbanded'
The Russian Interior Ministry is not going to bear provoking actions of the Chechen Interior Ministry's special operations regiments any longer.
"Former Wahhabis, allegedly repentant, who entered Akhmad Kadyrov's guard first and then special operations regiments of the Chechen Interior Ministry, discredit federal authorities by their actions," a high-ranking official at the Russian Interior Ministry said to the Caucasian Knot correspondent yesterday. According to the officer, "so called fighters of these regiments are involved in many kidnappings and even extrajudicial executions." "These regiments should be disbanded," the man thinks.
A representative of the Regional Headquarters on the Counter-terrorist Operation in the North Caucasus told the Caucasian Knot correspondent that "in Khankala (the Headquarters is situated their — editor's note), they also raise concern about the behavior of the special operations regiments." "There is an impression that they obey to no one but Ramzan Kadyrov, and he, in his turn, does not obey to us.
