Mi 8 crash caused by crew's fault
The officer of the Russian Defense Ministry who received severe wounds in the Mi 8 helicopter crash in Chechnya has died, Interfax says referring to a source at the headquarters of the joint group of forces. As of 18 July, the death of the serviceman, the only survivor in the crash, has not been officially confirmed.
The cause of the helicopter crash was the crew's fault, a source in Chechnya close to the investigation committee told Interfax yesterday. According to the source, "it has been established that there was neither equipment failure nor fire attack."
