In Krasnodar, "Putin's Detachments" burn photos of Telegram founder

In Krasnodar, activists of the patriotic movement "Putin's Detachments" held a rally with the demand to close Telegram and called its founder a "traitor."

On April 27, a video from the action appeared on the Internet. "Today, we have gathered to reprimand Telegram and demand it to be closed," said one of the women participating in the action. She is tearing a sheet of paper with the Telegram logo printed on it. "Here is the leader of the organization. Put him in jail, put him! Eliminate him at all!" the women shout and point to a printed photo of Pavel Durov, a founder of Telegram.

The women torn two portraits of Pavel Durov printed on sheets of paper and trampled them by feet. They also burned one more portrait. "Traitor! Burn in fire! Burn during all your life and burn to the ground!" shouted the women while burning the portrait. The video is published on the YouTube channel of the "Putin's Detachments".

Starting from the mid-April, the "Roskomnadzor" (Russian Federal Agency for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology and Mass Media) unsuccessfully tries to block Telegram. A number of politicians criticized the federal agency's activities to block the messenger. On April 22, an all-Russian action was held in support of Telegram. At 7:00 p.m. Moscow time, participants of the action allowed paper airplanes - a symbol of Telegram - from the windows, the newspaper "Novaya Gazeta" reported on April 27.
