Ex-MP from Dagestan Gadjiev* named as author of version about assassination attempt on Kadyrov
Two men have recorded a video message in which they named Magomed Gadjiev*, a former Russian State Duma MP from Dagestan, as the author of the version about the assassination attempt on the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on October 9, Ramzan Kadyrov, when speaking about the conflict around the Wildberries Company, mentioned Suleiman Kerimov, Senator from Dagestan, and Bekkhan Barakhoev and Rizvan Kurbanov, the State Duma MPs, calling on them to prove their non-involvement in the order to kill him and warned them of his readiness to declare blood feud against them.
Abdul Mamadibirov and Murad Goshdadov, the above men, claim that they fulfilled their part of the agreement with Magomed Gadjiev* by disseminating information about the preparation of an assassination attempt on Kadyrov, but didn't receive the promised reward, the RIA "Novosti" has reported.
In their video message, one of them said that the ex-MP had promised a large reward for disseminating information he had made up "about the assassination attempt on Ramzan." "We risked our lives because of you," the other one has added.
The RIA "Novosti", citing a source, has added that "Gadjiev* and his curators from foreign intelligence services, by spreading rumours about the assassination attempt, wanted to ignite an interethnic conflict between Chechnya, Dagestan and Ingushetia."
On October 11, Rizvan Kurbanov said that he didn't take part in the preparation of the assassination attempt on Kadyrov. Bekkhan Barakhoev also stated that he had nothing to do with the preparation of the assassination attempt.
After Kadyrov's threats to Suleiman Kerimov, Sergey Melikov, the head of Dagestan, has recalled the Senator's charitable projects and promised that the republic "will always support him in difficult times." The Mayor of Derbent also spoke in support of Kerimov.

*Gadjiev left Russia in 2023. On May 26, 2023, the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) of the Russian Federation added him to the register of foreign agents. In May 2023, he was expelled from the "Edinaya Rossiya" (United Russia) Party "for actions that have discredited the Party."
