Nikol Pashinyan calls for direct talks with RPA

Today, at a rally in Ijevan, protest leader Nikol Pashinyan has stated that the opposition is willing to meet simultaneously all MPs from the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) to discuss the current situation and proposals to overcome the crisis.

"I want to confirm that we are ready for negotiations, and we are interested in solving the problems as soon as possible. And if there are difficulties with this or that format of negotiations, we are willing to enter directly the simultaneous negotiations with all the delegates of the RPA faction at the National Assembly. That is, we are ready to meet RPA faction delegates in one room, discuss the current situation, offer our solutions, and listen to their opinions," stated Nikol Pashinyan at the rally in Ijevan as quoted by the "Radio Azatutyun".

This afternoon, an opposition rally took place in Ijevan, the Nikol Pashinyan's native city. After the rally, Nikol Pashinyan and his supporters went to Vanadzor, the third largest city of Armenia.

On April 27, at a rally in Gyumri, Nikol Pashinyan announced mass protests to be held on April 29 and 30, as well as on May 1. "Starting from April 29, all protests will begin with renewed vigour. And on May 1, we should all be in the squares and streets of Yerevan," Nikol Pashinyan said.
