Israel: activists report Dagestani resident's kidnapping
Alexei Kardashov, a resident of Khasavyurt, was allegedly kidnapped for ransom and taken to Chechnya, the Jewish community of Dagestan reports. The police failed to identify the person who stole money from an Alexei Kardashov's bank card.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on September 14, 2017, Alexei Kardashov left home in Khasavyurt and never returned. On May 16, investigators released a photo of a man who had stolen 500,000 roubles from the Alexei Kardashov's bank card on September 15.
Alexei Kardashov is a Mountain Jew by origin, and almost all his relatives moved to Israel. In Dagestan, Alexei Kardashov lived with his mother, who repeatedly appealed to the authorities with a request to find her son, reports a member of the community of Mountain Jews.
Mountain Jews live mainly in Azerbaijan and Dagestan.
The mother of Alexei Kardashov appealed for help to her relatives in Israel.
