Competitions of Russian racing drivers moved from Nalchik to Grozny

It was decided to hold the second stage of the Russian championship in drag racing, scheduled for early August, in the capital of Chechnya, as the racing ground in Nalchik is not yet ready for the competition, the race organizers have stated.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the motor track for ring, pair, drag and drift motor racing, designed for 1600 spectators, was opened in Grozny in August 2015.

Initially, the second stage of the Russian drag racing championship SMP RDRC (Russian Drag Racing Community) was scheduled for August 4-5 at the new circuit track in Nalchik, but its construction schedule was shifted, and the race moved to Grozny, said Tigran Seferyan, the chairman of the drag racing committee of the Russian Automobile Federation.

The drag racing is a drive along a direct track 402 meters long with the maximum acceleration. In each race, two racers participate, the website "Avtogonki.net" informs.

The first stage of the Russian championship in drag racing was held on June 9-11 in Nizhny Novgorod; the third stage is scheduled for September 8-9 in Grozny; while the final stage is scheduled for September 22-23 in Nalchik, the RDRC website informs.
