Nagorno-Karabakh accuses Azerbaijan of 250 cases of shelling during a week

In the period from July 29 to August 4, units of the Azerbaijani armed forces have fired more than 2000 shots on the positions of the Defence Army, reported the Ministry of Defence (MoD) for Nagorno-Karabakh.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that during the week of July 22-28, Nagorno-Karabakh counted 300 cases of shelling of its positions.

Over the past seven days, the Azerbaijani side about 250 times violated the ceasefire in the Karabakh conflict zone, the Nagorno-Karabakh MoD reports today. "The Azerbaijani side has fired on the Karabakh positions over 2000 shots from small arms of different types," reported the Nagorno-Karabakh MoD as quoted by the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

As of 6:45 p.m. Moscow time, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence did not place on its website any comments on the above statement voiced by the Nagorno-Karabakh MoD. Meanwhile, the Azerbaijani side daily reports about the violation of the ceasefire regime by the Armenian armed forces. Only during the past day, Azerbaijan recorded 86 cases of shelling.

According to the calculations run by the "Caucasian Knot", during the week from July 29 to August 4, the Azerbaijani MoD reported 545 cases of shelling of its positions. Meanwhile, the OSCE mission, which conducted the monitoring on August 2 on the contact line of the troops, registered no violations.
