Germany extradites a native of Kabardino-Balkaria suspected of terrorism
A native of Kabardino-Balkaria is suspected of involvement in the Syrian conflict, the FSB reports today.
According to the FSB, while living in Kabardino-Balkaria, the man provided assistance to militants of the terrorist organization "Imarat Kavkaz" banned in Russia, and in October 2013, he secretly arrived in to Syria to take part in hostilities on the side of international terrorist organizations. Later, he used false documents and tried to obtain the refugee status in Germany, where he was detained in September 2017 on the basis of the information from the wanted list received from Russia, the FSB reports.
The extradited man was delivered to Moscow on August 30. At present, the investigative actions are being carried out against him, the Russian FSB reports on its website without mentioning the name of the extradited man.
