In Zverevo, two miners killed in accidents during 13 days

On August 30, there was a funeral of a miner, who died of injuries after the incident which occurred at the "Obukhovskaya" mine in the Rostov Region. He has become the second victim during 15 days.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on August 20, during the construction of a tunnel at the "Obukhovskaya" mine, one of the workers was injured to his head. According to an informed source, a bar fell on the man after a trolley started moving unexpectedly. The miner was hospitalized to the Central District Hospital in Zverevo.

The incident with the trolley has become the second for a week at the "Obukhovskaya" mine. Earlier, on August 16, as a result of an explosion at the mine, one miner was killed and five others were injured. By August 27, four of the victims were discharged from the hospital.

"Immediately after the hospitalization, the young man fell into a coma. Despite all efforts of medical specialists, eight days later, he died without recovering," the portal "Rostov.ru" reported on August 30.

Earlier, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent has been told by a former worker of the "Obukhovskaya" mine who preferred to remain anonymous that despite the investigation into the incidents, nothing changes at the mines.

The source has also claimed there is too much manual labour. He has also complained about dangerous working conditions. Meanwhile, according to the miner, in response to complaints, workers are simply offered to quit.
