Leader of Georgian nationalists detained after clip on combat training

Giorgi Chelidze, the head of the "National Unity of Georgia" is suspected of illegal possession of firearms and ammunition.

The reason for initiating a criminal was a video clip posted on the page of this nationalist organization in a social network, the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) has reported. "During a search of the suspect's apartment, the police seized various types of firearms and 28 rounds as material evidence, which were sent to examination," the message says.

The detainee faces from two to five years in prison, the "InterPressNews" reports today with reference to the MIA.

The video clip entitled "Fascist's Weekend" tells about the sports and combat training of members of the "National Unity of Georgia": young people deliver fire from a submachine gun, the "News-Georgia" reports.
