Djeikhun Nabi tells about interrogation in context of his Facebook posts

After three days in custody, Djeikhun Nabi was released from the police and said that he was interrogated in connection with his publications on the Facebook, as well as about his relations with political emigrants in Europe.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Nabi was detained on October 23, in his hometown of Shamkir.

On October 26, Sardar Nabiev, his father, told reporters that the police had released his son.

Djeikhun Nabi himself said that after his detention he was questioned by employees of the Chief Directorate for Combating Organized Crime of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of Azerbaijan.

"They detained me on October 23 in Shamkir, and immediately took to Baku to the above MIA's Directorate. I was interrogated here about my activities on the Facebook and my relations with Azerbaijani political emigrants in Europe. I said that I had been for only three months in Russia, and had no contacts with political emigrants in Europe. There was no physical pressure on me. Finally, they let me go and warned me not to write 'that stuff' on the Facebook anymore. But they failed to specify 'the staff' I wrote," Mr Nabi told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
