Magomed Aushev tortured after being defamed

During the trial in the case against agents of the Ingush Centre for Combating Extremism (CCE) at the Nalchik Garrison Military Court, witness Aza Gadieva said that she had defamed Magomed Aushev. After the defamation, Magomed Aushev was detained in the case of a car bombing and tortured.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the Nalchik Garrison Military Court considers the case against seven CCE agents of the Ingush Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA). They were charged with murder, extortion, abuse of power with the use of violence against detainees, and other crimes.

On June 26, the Nalchik Garrison Military Court continued questioning the witnesses, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.

Witness Aza Gadieva was conducted via videoconferencing. The witness stated that she had defamed Magomed Aushev, one of the victims, who had been detained on suspicion of bombing a car.

Let us remind you that Magomed Aushev was subjected to torture, since law enforcers suspected him of involvement in bombing a car of Ibragim Belkhoroev, one of the Ingush religious leaders.

According to the witness, it was she who informed CCE chief Timur Khamkhoev, with whom she spoke closely, that she knew exactly who blew up Ibragim Belhoroev's car, although in fact she did not know that.
