A disabled person from Dagestan complains about having no housing

In Makhachkala, Abidi Ramazanov held a picket at which he declared he had been illegally deprived of housing in the Novolaksky District of Dagestan.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on September 4, 2017, in Makhachkala, Abidi Ramazanov, a disabled resident of the Gamiyakh village, held a solo picket with the demand to include him in the list of displaced persons.

"They took the ruined house away and gave no new housing in Novostroi," Abidi Ramazanov said. According to him, officials have not been able to solve his problem with housing for many years.

The protestor was approached by law enforcers who demanded from him to complete his action. They said permission was needed to hold a picket.

Let us remind you that in April 1991, Russia adopted the Law "On the Rehabilitation of Repressed Peoples", according to which Laks and Chechens-Akkins were given the right to return to their lands. So far, no complete relocation of the Laks from the Novolaksky District to a new place of residence has occurred.
