Azerbaijan reports shelling of two villages in the conflict zone

The positions of the Azerbaijani army in the conflict zone were shelled for 21 times during the last 24 hours; two border villages came under fire, the country's Ministry of Defence (MoD) has informed.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the parties in conflict regularly report on violations of the ceasefire regime. Thus, on May 22, the Azerbaijani MoD counted 22 shelling attacks within the last 24 hours. On May 18, Nagorno-Karabakh blamed Azerbaijan for 80 attacks committed within a week.

On May 21-22, the cease-fire regime was violated for 21 times, says the today's report posted on the website of the Azerbaijani MoD.

"From the positions stationed on the nameless heights in the territory of the Noyemberyan and Krasnoselsky Districts of Armenia, the positions of the Azerbaijani Army deployed in the village of Kemerli of the Gazakh District and in the village of Zamanly of the Gadabay District were shelled," the MoD has emphasized.

Besides, according to the MoD, fire was delivered also from the position "near the occupied villages."

As of 9:20 a.m. Moscow time, the websites of the MoDs of Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh placed no comments to the above statement of the Azerbaijani MoD.
