Two thousand Dagestanis receive food within the "Stop Hunger" programme
More than 50 volunteers of two charitable funds have provided needy residents of Dagestan with foodstuffs. The action will be held monthly.
The joint action of the Dagestani charity funds "Nadezhda" (Hope) and "Ikhlyas" was held on May 24, it was timed to the holy month of Ramadan, Murad Karimov, the head of the "Nadezhda" Charity Fund, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent. According to his story, the need for help of particular persons is defined by the travel inspection commission.
According to Mr Karimov, the charity action was held in close cooperation with the parishioners of the "Ikhlyas" mosque, the charitable fund of the same name and the volunteer corps of the "Companions of Good", which helped a lot in implementing the project.
The "Stop Hunger" project is implemented by the fund on the permanent basis; this year, over 2000 needy people received foodstuff parcels. "The scale of the action and the format of interaction during the implementation thereof will be preserved; and the action itself will be held monthly," said Karimov.
