Azerbaijan claims 18 shelling attacks in border area

The positions of the Azerbaijani army came under fire in the territory bordering Armenia, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) for Azerbaijan reports today.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on June 4, Azerbaijan registered 21 shelling attacks during a day.

"Over 24 hours, units of the Armenian armed forces 18 times violated the ceasefire regime in different directions of the front," reports today the Azerbaijani MIA on its website.

According to the Azerbaijani MIA, the positions of the Azerbaijani army were shelled at the nameless heights in the Gadabay District.

By 8:50 a.m. Moscow time on today, the Ministries of Defence for Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh have not posted on their official websites any comments on the statement released by the Azerbaijani MIA.
