Zelimkhan Khangoshvili's family granted political asylum in Germany
The German authorities granted refugee status to a widow and children of Zelimkhan Khangoshvili, a native of the Pankisi Gorge, who was killed in Berlin, Der Spiegel reported on November 20. Two nephews of Zelimkhan Khangoshvili were extradited from Sweden to Georgia, a brother of the killed man reported.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Zelimkhan Khangoshvili, a native of the Pankisi Gorge, a participant of the second Chechen military campaign, was shot dead in Berlin on August 23. A 49-year-old Russian citizen was arrested on suspicion of the murder.
