Azerbaijan claims 22 shelling attacks from Armenian side

The positions of the Azerbaijani troops were shelled on the border with Armenia and in the Karabakh conflict zone, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) of Azerbaijan reports today.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that from the morning on January 2 to the morning on January 3, Azerbaijan registered 23 shelling attacks on its positions.

"Units of the armed forces of Armenia 22 times violated the ceasefire in various directions of the front within 24 hours," the Azerbaijani MoD reports today.

The fire came from the side of Armenia and from territories under the control of the Nagorno-Karabakh authorities, the Azerbaijani MoD reported.

As at 9:43 a.m. Moscow time on January 4, the Ministries of Defence for Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh have not yet posted on their official websites any comments on the statement released by the Azerbaijani MoD.
