Kadyrov's idea of Putin's lifelong presidency sparks disputes on Instagram

The lifelong presidential term for Vladimir Putin proposed by the head of Chechnya is beneficial to Ramzan Kadyrov himself, some Instagram users believe. Their opponents have supported Kadyrov's idea claiming that Putin has no worthy alternative.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that from June 25 to July 1, 2020, Russia is voting on amendments to the Constitution, which are deemed necessary to preserve the state, said the head of Chechnya calling on Putin to become president for life.

Some Instagram users expressed outrage at Kadyrov's proposal. "We don't live in the Middle Ages, where one head rules till old age. How can I find out that he has no worthy replacement, if, apart from him, no one had taken the post? There are hundreds who can adequately replace him and rule the country!" the user _pro100_777 believes.

The user nvu981 has suggested that Kadyrov is afraid of losing his power. "Of course, if someone else comes, Kadyrov will be the first to fly off the throne!" the user pravda0418 believes.

A small part of users has supported Kadyrov. "It's not known, if there is another, then what awaits us, and there is no alternative to the president of the Russian Federation, so let Putin go on," the user luizaaa955 has written.
