Widow of journalist killed in Azerbaijan was granted political asylum in Norway

Rushana Guseinova, widow of Elmar Guseinov, assassinated journalist, received political asylum in Norway, and together with her son Aslan is already in the territory of this country. Friends of R. Guseinova have informed the correspondent of the "Caucasian Knot" about it.

We note here that after her husband's death Rushana has been publishing an independent newspaper "Bakinskie Vedomosti" (Baku Gazette).

Meanwhile, Einullah Fatullaev, well-known Azerbaijani journalist, is resuming his newspaper "Real Azerbaijan," which was suspended on October 3 this year.

Elmar Guseinov, editor-in-chief of the weekly "Monitor," was killed on the threshold of his own apartment in the capital of Azerbaijan on March 2, 2005. His killers remain unknown so far.
