Djalka village takes over baton of Zakaev's condemnation

Akhmed Zakaev, who called Chechen authorities responsible for torturing Tepsurkaev, has no right to speak on behalf of the Chechen people – this was the leitmotif of those speaking at a gathering in the Chechen village of Djalka.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on September 13, a gathering was held in the Grozny "Heart of Chechnya" Mosque with the participation of the republic's Mufti, theologians and members of pro-governmental public and youth organizations. The gathering condemned Akhmed Zakaev and the so-called "Euro-Ichkerians", and, on behalf of the Chechen people, disowned and cursed them. A day earlier, on September 12, Salakh Mezhiev, the Mufti of Chechnya, criticized, in the report broadcast by the "Grozny" ChGTRK (Chechen State TV and Radio Broadcasting Company), Salman Tepsurkaev for his "shameless talks", and called Akhmed Zakaev, the head of the government of the self-proclaimed Ichkeria (banned in Russia), an "outcast."

On September 10, Akhmed Zakaev, the head of the government of the self-proclaimed Ichkeria (banned in Russia), located outside Russia, reported the arrest of his brothers, sisters and nephews who live in Chechnya. He linked the arrest of his relatives with his statements in support of the 1ADAT Telegram Channel.

In Chechnya, the video, in which a naked man sits on a bottle, explaining that he is doing this as punishment for cooperating with the oppositional 1ADAT Telegram Channel, has caused huge resonance. The channel's authors are sure that the moderator of their chat, Salman Tepsurkaev, was kidnapped and publicly humiliated by law enforcers.

The "large gathering of Djalka villagers in the Gudermes District" is reported in the statement posted in the Instagram page of the "Grozny" ChGTRK. The villagers stated that Zakaev and his entourage – the so-called "Euro-Ichkerians", who are far from Chechnya and have nothing to do with Chechnya's fate in any way, have no right to speak on behalf of Chechens, says the statement.
