Pressure on opposition Chechen "1Adat" Telegram channel makes it even more popular

The "1Adat" Telegram channel is supported by a people's movement with activists in Russia who did not stop their activities after the kidnapping of Salman Tepsurkaev.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported about a public outcry provoked by a video in which a naked man, who identified himself as Salman Tepsurkaev, was sitting on a bottle. The young man explained that he was doing that as punishment for his cooperation with the opposition "1Adat" Telegram channel. Authors of the Telegram channel stated that the moderator of their chat was publicly humiliated by law enforcers.

The authors of the "1Adat" Telegram channel believe that Salman Tepsurkaev is in danger of death because of the public outcry which arose after the video with his self-torture had been made public.

Chechen law enforcers continue to put pressure on Salman Tepsurkaev's family, which suggests that he is alive, one of the administrators of the "1Adat" Telegram channel says.

According to the authors of the "1Adat" Telegram channel, the kidnapping of Salman Tepsurkaev was an attack on the very "1Adat" Telegram channel in order to disrupt its activities, but they were not stopped.

"Salman got to the law enforcers' place because of his disregard for the safety rules that we reminded him of," the administrator of the "1Adat" Telegram channel notes.

According to him, the "1Adat" Telegram channel is a people's movement, which goal is "to expose the crimes of the Kadyrov's regime and to help victims of lawlessness."

The activist also praised the activities of blogger Tumso Abdurakhmanov.

Since the kidnapping of Salman Tepsurkaev, the number of users following the "1Adat" Telegram channel has tripled, Tumso Abdurakhmanov notes. The video with the bottle finally opposed the authorities to the Chechen society, the blogger believes.
