President of Turkey attends military parade in Baku
Today, Ilham Aliev and Recep Tayyip Erdogan have watched a parade to celebrate the victory in the Patriotic War, timed to coincide with the end of the military campaign in Nagorno-Karabakh. Turkish military personnel have also taken part in the victory parade. Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), which played an important role during the battles, and captured military equipment of the armies of Karabakh and Armenia have been demonstrated during the parade.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the day of November 10, when the agreement on the cessation of the hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh came into force, was declared in Azerbaijan the Victory Day in the Patriotic War, and the day of September 27, when the autumn escalation of the conflict began, was declared as the Day of Remembrance of the Deceased.
Today, the parade dedicated to the end of the fighting in Nagorno-Karabakh has been held on Azadliq (Freedom) Square in Baku. The parade has been attended not only by the President of Azerbaijan, but also by Recep Tayyip Erdogan, President of Turkey.
More than 3000 soldiers took part in the parade, and about 150 items of military equipment were demonstrated to the audience. In particular, the people had the possibility to see unmanned aerial vehicles, which played a significant important role during the battles.
War trophies were also shown. Organizers of the parade used registration plates of more than 2000 captured and destroyed cars to make a composition with the inscription reading: "Karabakh is Azerbaijan".
