Azerbaijani military perishes in road accident in Nagorno-Karabakh

One military serviceman has perished and two others were wounded in a car accident near Shusha, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence (MoD) has reported.

The casualty was Gasan Gusein-ogly Yagubov, a resident of the dwelling settlement of Shafag, Beilagan District, the APA News Agency reports. He had been awarded the medal "For the Liberation of Djabrail", the "Day.az" has added.

Earlier, the "Caucasian Knot" reported that on January 13, an Azerbaijani officer was killed in the Gubadli District, when his car exploded on a mine. On January 1, another military, Vasif Uzeyir-ogly Magerramov, was killed by a mine explosion in the same district. On the same day, Zabil Babaev, a 39-year-old resident of Azerbaijan, illegally penetrated a non-demined area in the Fizuli District, stepped on a mine and later died.
