Kadyrov: six militants led by Byutukaev killed
Militants on the federal wanted list led by Aslan Byutukaev were killed during a special operation conducted on the outskirts of the village of Katar-Yurt, the leader of Chechnya reports today.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on October 13, 2020, a counterterrorist operation (CTO) legal regime was introduced in the Oktyabrsky District of Grozny, for the first time since December 2016. Four suspected militants were killed. According to the law enforcement bodies, the killed suspects were members of the militant grouping led by Aslan Byutukaev.
The CTO was carried out on the outskirts of the village of Katar-Yurt, and as a result of the special operation, six militants from the grouping led by Aslan Byutukaev, who were on the federal wanted list, were killed, and none of the suspected militants escaped. "The suspects have been already identified as Aslan Byutukaev, Saraliev, Isa Bazarkaev, and Dorshaev," Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov reports today.
The special operation was planned long ago. "The militant grouping twice managed to escape from pursuit and armed clashes. For the third time, the militants failed to hide from fighters of the Akhmat-Khadji Kadyrov police regiment," Ramzan Kadyrov wrote in his Telegram channel.
The leader of Chechnya emphasizes that after the killing of six suspected militants, the task of restoring order in Chechnya has been completed. "The bandit underground in the Chechen Republic has been completely eliminated!" Ramzan Kadyrov declared.
