Tenant of dilapidated house in Kabardino-Balkaria appeals to Kadyrov for help

The authorities of Kabardino-Balkaria have ignored requests to exercise the rights to housing, claims Gulbinat Adjibekperova, who lives in a dilapidated five-storey building with no heating and water supply. The woman recorded a video appeal to the leader of Chechnya.

On February 28, the video appeal of Gulbinat Adjibekperova was posted on the "Made in KBR" YouTube channel. "I want you to help me restore justice. <...> So that <...> the day will come when I would move to my apartment, which I deserve, although they took 20 years from me," said the former teacher while addressing the leader of Chechnya.

Gulbinat Adjibekperova emphasized that her acquaintances invited her to Chechnya to work as a teacher of foreign languages, but she did not leave for the republic in a hope to defend her position in court. "Ramzan Akhmatovich, I'm short of money, and I cannot buy even bread. I'm starving," the woman says in the video.

According to the former teacher, even before her dismissal, she complained to Kazbek Kokov, the leader of Kabardino-Balkaria. However, she did not only fail to improve her living conditions, but was even dismissed from the school in the village of Psynadakha.
