Advocates report about detentions of two persons in a case on rally in Magas

Today, two persons have been detained in a case on rallies in Magas, and one of them has got an injury during the detention, advocates Magomed Bekov and Djabrail Kuriev report.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on March 26, 2019, residents of Ingushetia continued a protest rally in Magas without a sanction from the authorities. On the other morning, clashes occurred between protesters and the police, while law enforcers were dispersing the rally. In the case, the prisoners' dock contained seven leaders of the Ingush protest. On March 10, one of them, activist Zarifa Sautieva, was transferred from a SIZO (pre-trial prison) to house arrest, and on March 16, the Stavropol Territorial Court pronounced a decision to return the activist to custody.

Today, it has been reported about the detention of two more persons in the case on the rally in Magas. One of the detainees stays in a hospital. This was reported by the advocates defending the leaders of the Ingush protest.

"In Ingushetia, the police continue to detain people in the Ingush case. Gorbakov was brought to Nalchik. Gazdiev has got an injury during his detention, and at present, he stays in the republican clinical hospital," advocate Magomed Bekov wrote on his Facebook page.
