Azerbaijan reports start of building road in Nagorno-Karabakh

The Gadrut-Djebrail-Shukyurbeili highway will pass through 20 dwelling settlements of Nagorno-Karabakh that have passed under Azerbaijan's control.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Azerbaijani authorities reported the completion of the construction of the Fizuli-Shusha road. Also, on April 8, they announced the start of the construction of two new roads in the territories of Nagorno-Karabakh that came under Azerbaijan's control.

Let us remind you that on January 18, activists in Karabakh asked the peacemakers to give an opportunity to residents of the unrecognized republic to drive to Armenia through the territory controlled by Azerbaijan. The opening of a Karabakh-Armenia route alternative to the Lachin Corridor will reduce tensions in the conflict zone, Azerbaijani political analysts believe.
