Gadjiev's colleagues inform about interest of Makhachkala residents in action of his support

On May 24, solo pickets in support of the journalist, Abdulmumin Gadjiev, were held by Magomed Magomedov, a deputy editor-in-chief of the "Chernovik" weekly, and by Magdi Kamalov, the founder of the edition.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that colleagues and friends of Gadjiev, who is a "Chernovik" journalist, are regularly holding pickets in Makhachkala in his support.

Abdulmumin Gadjiev was detained within the case of financing terrorism; he insists on his innocence. His colleagues treat his persecution as a form of pressure on him.

On May 24, the above Magomed Magomedov came out to a solo picket, who demanded to release Abdulmumin Gadjiev and stop his criminal prosecution. The second solo picket with a call to stop unjustified arrests in general was held by Magdi Kamalov, the founder of the "Chernovik". Both pickets were held in central Makhachkala, at the intersection of Dakhadaev Street and Gamzatov Avenue.

Magdi Kamalov said that his picket aroused interest among passers-by. According to his story, a lot of people approached him and asked about the reason for the picket. "In fact, the reaction (from passers-by) was great," Mr Kamalov told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
