Resident of Ingushetia suspected of aiding militants
A 27-year-old resident of Ingushetia provided food and transport to members of an illegal armed formation (IAF), and also kept a bomb and a grenade at home, investigators assert.
According to investigators, from April 2014 to October 2015, the suspect, knowing that two other republic residents were IAF members, provided them with foodstuffs and transported them in his car through the territory of Ingushetia. He also bought, in the village of Plievo, Nazran District, an improvised explosive device (IED) and a hand grenade, which he kept at home until law enforcers found them on July 9, says the website of the Investigating Department for Ingushetia of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF).
The "Caucasian Knot" has also reported that on December 25, 2020, a court in Rostov-on-Don sentenced Magomed Archakov, a resident of Ingushetia, to three years in colony after charging him with promoting terrorism on the Internet.
