Nina Tseretilova reports kidnapping of her son

In Saint Petersburg, the eldest son of Nina Tseretilova, a resident of Dagestan, has disappeared; she suspects that her ex-husband, whom the court had earlier restricted in his parental rights, was involved in the son's disappearance.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on March 24, 2021, the Dagestani Supreme Court (SC) ruled in favour of Nina, who challenged her ex-husband's right to custody over the children. On April 15, Nina Tseretilova said that her former relatives had failed to fulfil the court's ruling to return the children to her. On July 16, a court in Makhachkala satisfied Nina Tseretilova's claim to restrict the parental rights of her ex-husband Magomed; but she managed to return only her eldest son, and she is unaware of whereabouts of her other two children.

She has reported the disappearance of her eldest son in her Instagram page. "My son has disappeared in Saint Petersburg. According to our information, he was taken away by the people-acquaintances of his father, Magomed Tseretilov," Nina wrote on the Instagram.

She has suggested that some third persons had kidnapped him, since Magomed Tseretilov has no right to leave Dagestan.

With an application about her son's disappearance, Tseretilova turned to law enforcement bodies, said her advocate, Ekaterina Lyalikova. According to her story, among other versions, they consider the one that the child could have been kidnapped by members of some radical Islamic grouping, since while preparing for court hearings, Magomed "had tried to win support of various social groups and, first of all, those who treat religion and Islam quite unambiguously."
