Chechen law enforcer detained in Dagestan, sources report
A commander of a police squadron, a relative of the Deputy Prime Minister of Chechnya, was detained near Khasavyurt with a pistol, sources have reported.
The detention took place on August 3 during the “Arms” operation. Khusein Bakarov, a resident of Gudermes, was in the village of Vinsovkhozny near Khasavyurt with a working Glock-17 pistol. According to a source from the law enforcement body, Khusein Bakarov is a squadron commander of a patrol-and-post service battalion in the Gudermes District of Chechnya, the Dagestani weekly newspaper “Chernovik” (Rough Draft) reports today.
According to the source, Khusein Bakarov is a relative of Chechen politician Abuzayd Vismuradov. At a standby unit of the local Division for the city of Khasavyurt of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) and the press service of the MIA for Dagestan refused to promptly confirm or deny information about the detention of Khusein Bakarov, the “Kavkaz.Realii”* reports today.
Abuzayd Vismuradov is the Deputy Prime Minister of Chechnya for the power bloc. He is a childhood friend of Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov and his personal bodyguard.
* The organization is included by the Russian Ministry of Justice (MoJ) in the register of non-profit organizations-foreign agents.
