Azerbaijan accuses Armenia of border shelling

The positions of Azerbaijani militaries were shelled by Armenia in the Lachin, Kelbadjar and Tovuz Districts, as well as near Shusha, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence (MoD) has informed.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Armenia and Azerbaijan are periodically exchanging accusations of shelling. Thus, on August 18, the Azerbaijani party announced that Armenian militaries had shelled the Azerbaijani positions located near the Heydarabad settlement of the Sadarak District of the Nakhichevan Autonomous Republic (NAR), as well as in the Gadabay and Kelbadjar Districts.

In the evening on August 19, Armenian militaries shelled the Azerbaijani positions stationed in the Lachin, Kelbadjar and Tovuz Districts, the Azerbaijani MoD has reported today.

Also, the Armenian party has shelled the positions of the Azerbaijani military near Shusha, the Azeri MoD has stated, adding that the shelling was conducted from the positions located in the conflict zone.
