Mikhail Saakashvili detained in Georgia
Law enforcers have detained Mikhail Saakashvili, the third president of Georgia, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili reports.
The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that today, Mikhail Saakashvili has announced that he returned to Georgia and then clarified that he stayed in Batumi. In turn, the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of Georgia assured that Mikhail Saakashvili did not cross the Georgian border. According to the Prime Minister of Georgia, the operation was conducted “at a high level.” “Our law enforcers carried out an operation to detain wanted Mikhail Saakashvili at the highest level. The law enforcement bodies had preliminary information about his transfer from Ukraine to Georgia, and the process was under full control,” noted Irakli Garibashvili as quoted by the “Report” agency.
