Elene Khoshtariya needs medical care

At doctors' insistence, due to deteriorating of her tests, on the eighth day of her hunger strike, Elene Khoshtariya, the leader of the oppositional "Droa" Party, was made a blood transfusion.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in the morning on November 3, Elene Khoshtariya, the leader of the oppositional "Droa" (meaning "It's the Time!") Party, went on a hunger strike right in the parliament building, demanding to transfer Mikheil (Mikhail) Saakashvili, a former President of Georgia, to a civil hospital.

Doctors insisted on a blood transfusion for Khoshtariya due to the deterioration of her tests. "I feel well, but given the fact that my hunger strike can be long, and on doctors' advice, I decided to take the medical intervention," Ms Khoshtariya said at a briefing today, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports. She said that her test results showed that her health is in danger.
