Sources disclose details of case on preparation of terror act in Sunzha

Two residents of Ingushetia intended to blow up the administrative buildings of the department of private security and patrol-and-post service in Sunzha, sources reported.

On September 6, the FSB announced that it had prevented terror acts in Ingushetia and had detained four supporters of the “Islamic State” (IS, a terrorist organization, banned in Russia by the court, – note of the “Caucasian Knot”), suspected of plotting terror acts and attacks on law enforcers. Investigators accused two of the four arrested suspects of plotting terror acts, and two other suspects were charged with aiding and abetting supporters of the IS.

According to the FSB, two residents of Ingushetia involved in the activities of the IS were plotting to commit a terror act in Sunzha. The suspects planned an explosion on the territory of the buildings of the department of private security and patrol-and-post service, the “Interfax” reports.

“For that purpose, no later than on August 31, the suspects purchased components for the manufacture of explosive devices,” the source reports.

Earlier, the “Caucasian Knot” has reported that three out of four residents of Ingushetia, arrested on suspicion of plotting terror acts, are minors, and the fourth suspect has recently turned 18 years old. Mothers of the detainees said that their children did not give rise to suspicion of sympathy for the terrorists and that they did not understand how the prohibited items appeared in their houses.
