Krasny Bazar residents tell details of living under shelling
Residential buildings in the Karabakh village of Krasny Bazar continue to be shelled by Azerbaijani militaries despite the fact that the village has a peacemakers' base, local residents have complained. Shelling keeps people in constant fear; their livestock is stolen.
On February 11, residents of the Tagavard and Krasny Bazar communities complained that houses had been damaged as a result of shelling by Azerbaijani militaries.
The family of Arev Gabrielyan moved to Krasny Bazar after the war, because their house remained in the part of Tagavard that came under Azerbaijan's control.
According to Ms Gabrielyan, the family lost all their property during the war; and the other day their house was shelled from Azerbaijani posts. She is very concerned for the safety of her children.
"All the houses in Krasny Bazar are clearly visible from Azerbaijani military posts," she has noted.
Anush Amirdjanyan, another resident of Krasny Bazar, a mother of minor children, said that during the war her family lost everything from which they received their income. Their agricultural lands and vineyards remained in the territory that came under Azerbaijan's control.
The main problem for Krasny Bazar villagers is in periodic shelling, Anush said, believing that the only way to ensure people's safety is the withdrawal of Azerbaijani militaries.
