Ramzan Kadyrov calls information about forcing residents of Chechnya to fight in Ukraine a gossip

Amid reports about coercion of residents of Chechnya to participate in the special military operation, Ramzan Kadyrov has stated that many residents of Chechnya even quit their jobs in order to voluntarily go to Ukraine.

The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that Ramzan Kadyrov regularly reports about sending volunteers from Chechnya to Ukraine. On June 6, Magomed Daudov, the speaker of the Chechen parliament, announced that 8172 people had been sent to Ukraine from the territory of Chechnya.

Let us remind you that on May 13, the Chechen human rights association “Vayfond” reported that dozens of Chechen residents sent messages asking for help to leave Russia in order to avoid being sent to Ukraine.

Ruslan Kutaev, the president of the Assembly of Caucasian Nations, reported about cases of forcible dispatch of residents of Chechnya to Ukraine. “Those who refuse to go will be pressured in various ways, including dismissal from work, kidnappings, and threats,” Ruslan Kutaev said.

According to him, most of the “volunteers” were not related to the law enforcement bodies. “They are visited at home and told: ‘'Get ready ... And if you don’t want to, your relatives will face troubles,” Ruslan Kutaev reported.

It should be noted that on June 26, Ramzan Kadyrov announced the creation of four battalions in Chechnya, which would include “exclusively Chechen guys.”
