"Conde Nast" PH drops lawsuit against Aishat Kadyrova's Fashion House
The Moscow Arbitration Court has stopped proceedings on the claim of the "Conde Nast" Publishing House (PH), which demanded from the "Firdaws" Fashion House to return 814,000 roubles of debt and to pay 893,000 roubles as penalty.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in 2016, Aishat, Ramzan Kadyrov's daughter, headed the "Firdaws", earlier owned by her mother, Medni Kadyrova. On January 22, 2022, the "Firdaws" Islamic Fashion House announced on the Instagram* that it suspended all its stores indefinitely. However, this was not due to an error in paying taxes, explained Aishat Kadyrova. This spring, the fashion house announced the reopening of its stores.
The clothes from the "Firdaws" are very expensive and have become a status symbol in Chechnya, and reports about the tax problems of the "Firdaws" were unbelievable, residents of Grozny have noted.
The termination of the proceedings on the lawsuit may be due to the fact that the "Firdaws" "after the resonance in media, has settled in a pre-trial order its debts with the publishing house," the "Kavkaz.Realii"** outlet has suggested.
Let us remind you that in 2018, residents of the Chechen dwelling settlement of Oiskhara (Novogrozny) in the Gudermes District complained about being forced to buy "Firdaws" school uniforms. The authors of the appeal called on Ramzan Kadyrov to pay attention to the situation. Chechen refuted this information.
In March 2020, after the "Firdaws" Fashion House showed its collection in Paris, Kadyrov decorated his daughter with the medal "For Merit to the Chechen Republic". Some residents of Chechnya then doubted the justification of the award.
